Breath-taking scenery greets you on arriving in this sprawling Dolomite resort at the head of the Val Gardena. Visitors are struck by the stunning backdrop of craggy peaks and rose-tinted cliffs. Selva Gardena, or Wolkenstein as it is also known, is a quiet and charming village, popular with Italians and other Europeans alike. Given its location in Northern Italy, it uniquely enjoys a combination of the best of both Italy and Austria. This blend is reflected in its varied apres ski - an eclectric assortment of nightclubs, bierkellers, bars and pizzerias.
But the real appeal is the extensive skiing lying easily on tap. Selva forms part of the celebrated “ Sella Ronda” circuit of four valleys. This is Italy’s very own claim to being the world’s largest ski area. Whether it is or not, it does merit the title as the most beautiful. In mileage terms, most skiers venture out to nearby Corvara and the 'Alta Badia' circuit if nothing else. The more adventurous ski the larger area of the “ Dolomiti Superski” – certainly the world’s largest ski pass – enjoying 1,220km of piste and 460 lifts.

Child prices are only applicable when sharing with 2 full fare paying adults.
Infants: £50 per infant under 2 years on date of return flight. No seat or baggage allowance included.
Baggage allowance: 20 kgs.
Carriage of skis: Ski carriage must be pre-booked and there is a charge of £15 per pair return. If for any reason your skis cannot be carried, Inghams undertake to transport your skis on the next available flight and deliver them to your accommodation.
To book ski carriage send an email to cotswoldmonochrome.co.uk@inghams.co.uk with your booking details and the number of pairs of skis you will be taking. The charge will be added to your invoice.
Ticketing information: Holidays are booked from an allocation held by cotswoldmonochrome.co.uk with the tour operator, Inghams. You are making a confirmed reservation - bookings are not subject to availability. Inghams will send you their confirmation/ invoice by second class post with receipt of your booking. Tickets will be dispatched 14 days before departure.
